Land Aquisition Specialist/ Land Scout (m/f/d)

Role Summary

Aracari Energy is shaping the energy transition by developing, financing, construction, and operation green energy projects in Europe and beyond. We are looking for an ambitious land scout to source land for the development and construction of solar PV power plants in Germany. This role will be key in establishing contacts with landowners, securing the land, and initiating the development process. Having sound experience in the field of real estate and/or in the renewable energy industry, the ideal candidate finds creative and convincing solutions to navigate the land acquisition activities of the company in an exciting, dynamic, and challenging market. The role reports directly to the Head of Origination and is based flexibly at the home office with regular travels to the main office in Suhl. 

Tasks & Responsibilities

  • Identifying suitable locations and sites for solar PV power plants in defined areas in Germany
  • Allocating the landowners, establishing first contacts and maintaining relationships
  • Negotiating and concluding lease or purchase agreements with the land owners (required legal support will be provided by our legal department)
  • Outsourcing and managing land scouting agencies across Germany
  • Communicating with municipalities, local authorities and any other stakeholders
  • Preparing and updating initial project documentation
  • Representing Aracari Energy to all external partners and stakeholders

Requirements

  • Successful completion of vocational training in the field of Real Estate or similar
  • At least 4 years professional experience in roles related to land or property acquisition and/or management (e.g. as real estate agent, sales, insurance, or similar) or in the field of renewable energy (e.g. in project development, construction, or similar)
  • Established network of landowners is an advantage
  • Communicative, convincing, and pronounced team player with proven negotiation skills
  • Business fluent spoken and written German skills as well as good spoken and written English skills
  • Very good MS Office skills, GIS skills advantageous
  • The role requires a high amount of traveling across the whole of Germany (at least 80% of the time), so we expect your willingness and flexibility to travel
